oh, ok I think 80 days is still real quick, but when I think about it. 80 days is more than 2 months. I can't wait till it's released!

Hmm.. IMDB lists the release date in America as 2007. Maybe it will be released this year after all?

Well, it is a summer full of blockbusters. Think of Spiderman 3 and PotC 3 and Harry Potter 5. If they release it then, visitor numbers will be low. And in the fall/winter all the films for the Oscars will be released (if I'm not mistaken), so a movie like PS. I Love You won't get noticed then.
There have already been film screenings. They're just waiting for the right moment to release it.

AND they have to re-speak it, as we get to see all movies in German and not in English.
But actually, it's quite normal that we'll get to see certain movies about 6 months later than English-speaking countries (my guess is that America and the UK will get the movie this summer). It happened with the movie of Nicholas Sparks' books, too. Ireland got them in June, we got them somewhen in October.

CECELIA Ahern's blockbuster movie PS, I Love You has been getting rave reviews after advance screenings in America.
And the Sunday World can also reveal that the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is planning to fly to the movie premiere with daughter Cecelia and extended family members later this year.
Advance screenings have just been held for it in America, with one held in Arizona State University last Wednesday.
The husband is based on a husband (Gerard Butler), who dies from cancer and leaves a series of monthly letters containing tasks for wife Holly (Hilary Swank) to do.
"I didn't read the book, so I can't compare the book to the movie," says one female who saw the film.
"I thought the movie was pretty good. It has a good touch of both humour and emotional scenes.
"If you;re a fan of Gerard Butler, like me, then you are really going to love it.
"If you are not a fan of Gerry Butler then you will be. He is adorable and a hottie. The dance he did for Hialry is priceless and very swoon-worthy. His singing in the movie makes you want to mlet.
"Also, fans of Jeffrey Dean Morgan will love it. Although, he isn't in the movie a lot, they will still enjoy the parts that he is in. They show his butt.
Wonderful
"Many people were wondering if Hilary could play this role well. I think she did a wonderful job. But I'm a fan of Hilary Swank and I think that she is a great actress.
"As for my fellow James Marsters fans. He isn't in the movie a whole lot but he still has some very cute and adorable James moments. I think you guys will enjoy the parts he is in. He does have a wonderful laughing scene in the movie with Gerry Butler. Which just warms my heart to see those two.
"Lisa Kudrow is funny as always. I forget sometimes how funny she can be. She is one of my favourites."
Another reviewer in New York added: "I saw a test screening of it last night and I thought it was really good. Everyone in the cast was wonderful and it was both touching and funny. The audience received it very well... everyone even clapped at the end. Great film. Can't wait for it to come out in theatres!"
One moviegoer said he expected to see a film of angst nit was surprised at how comic it was.
A Warner Brothers insider in New York told the Sunday World that the movie will be released "in the last quarter of this year or first quarter of 208, but more likely this year."
He also revealed that "we are expecting the Irish Prime Minister to attend the premiere in Los Angeles."
Bertie Ahern will the accompanied by his estranged wife Miriam and their two daughter, Ceclia ad Georgina, and their partners Nicky Byrne of Westlife and athlere David Keoghan.
Ahern and his ex-wife visited the set of the movie when it was partly shot in Whelans pub in Dublin and in Co. Wicklow last year - most of the film is shot in New York. The characters all speak with American accents.
Harry Connick Jr. also features and another viewer says "he probably got the best screen time after Hilary and Gerard Butler."
In the film Holly receives her messages from letters, but Gerry recorded a taped message to let her know about them.
Speculation
Cecelia Ahern is also set to cash in yet again as she is also listed as one of six writers of the film, alongside Lisa Kudrow and others. It's believed the 25-year-old has already seen the finished product.
There is also speculation that Westlife will feature in the movie soundtrack, given band member Nicky Byrne is Cecelia's brother-in-law, and it could finally give them the push in America they've always wanted.
They tried once before to makde a breakthrough, duetting with Mariah Carey on a cover of Against All Odds, but failed to break the charts there.

Hilary Swank: The Comeback Chick?
What a nasty town. You make one movie that doesn't cause audiences and critics to sob and soil their cheeks with runny mascara and suddenly the world is all huffing at you like you're some 90210 washup.
I'm talking, of course, about Oscar-winning heavyweight Hilary Swank. Anyone who thinks she's gone all Halle Berry in the way of bad choices can shut it. First of all, I will go down swinging that she did just fine in The Reaping. (And hey, she didn't even get to make out with Bruce Willis!) Alas, her comeback—silly as it is to use that phrase—is right around the corner.
P.S., I Love You is testing very, very well. As in, you would have to be a heartless half-wit moron not to enjoy this movie, brought to us by writer-director-really fast and eloquent speaker Richard LaGravenese. Who dat, you say? Well, he penned Freedom Writers in which Hil went where Michelle Pfeiffer and Gloria Estefan have gone before. Um, so you might say that P.S. is his comeback too. Heehee.
Anyway look at the P.S. cast: Hilary, Gerard Butler, Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Bates and Gina Gershon.
"No one has seen Gerry [Butler] or Hilary like this before," spewed Richard. "It's romantic and funny and tragic and loving. He's sexy."
Wait. I get what he's saying about "Gerry" because mainly we've seen him growl with his shirt off all over that 300 movie. But Hilary, well, we've see her box, cross-dress, do the red lipstick seductress thing and plod through a river of blood. Hell, we've even seen her bunk with Tori Spelling!
So, I pushed Richard to elaborate on what exactly we're going to see.
"Well, you know, for me anyway, she's beautiful and funny and sexy and vulnerable, and she plays a wife and a girl, a woman who has to discover who she is without the man that she's loved for all of her adult life, all her young adult life," he says. "So, there are things that she's done in this movie that you've never seen her do before."
And by "things" I hope he means that she stopped working out for like six weeks and totally let her arms and abs go all flabby. You think? Nah. Me neither.

PS I Love YouSourceDirector: Richard Lagravenese Cast: Hillary Swank, Gerard Butler, Kathy Bates, Lisa Kudrow, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Gina Gershon Producers: Wendy Finerman, Andrew Kosove, and Broderick Johnson When we first meet GERRY and HOLLY, they’re in the midst of an argument. Holly’s upset that Gerry told her mother, PATRICIA, that she was the one who wanted to wait to have kids, but Gerry lightens the mood with a comical striptease. Even though they may not have it all, they’re clearly perfect for each other. Then we cut to one year later. A crowd is gathered in a quaint local bar – at first, it seems like a party, but then we realize it’s too somber; this is Gerry’s wake. For weeks after the funeral, a devastated Holly can’t even leave the apartment. Phone calls go unreturned. Dishes pile up in the sink. Until Holly finds a letter in the mailbox addressed to her in Gerry’s handwriting. Inside, Gerry tells her this is the first of twelve letters – one each month for a year – with instructions that she must follow. Holly’s first task: to go out and buy herself a killer disco outfit. Thus begins Holly’s year of adventures – from karaoke nights with friends, to a trip to Ireland – all carefully planned by Gerry before he died, and laid out in letters signed P.S. I love you. Currently in post-production. U.S. release via Warner Bros in Fall 2007. Teaser-poster: It says Fall 2007! Does that mean we'll get it sooner?
