There are unconfirmed, unofficial rumours about Kate Winslet and Hugh (Jackman) doing a musical together, but it might be another movie. Kate's not really how I'd imagined Elizabeth. I'd like Andrea Corr to play Elizabeth, but that's probs not gonna happen as Andrea is mega short compared to Hugh. But at least she can sing. (They're turning the book into a musical film.)

Hugh's dropped out which sucks cause he's perfect to play Ivan.. I guess it's been taking a bit too long and he's a busy man so... But yeah, at least the film will still be made.

Oh. My. God. There´s going to be a film?! Didn´t knew that, but ... wow. I really need to sit down. IYCSMN is my favorite book and I always imagined Lee Pace, Gerard Butler, but since he was in PS: I love you I guess it wouldn´t be him, or Hugh Jackmann as Ivan. I´m not sure about Elizabeth, but NOT Kate Winslet. I mean I loved her in Titanic (okay, who didn´t) but she´s not my Elizabeth That would be Torri Higginson or Lena Headey.

They are indeed more the kind of 'Elizabeth' that I had imagined as well. I guess moviedirectors always have different thoughts than the readers. I mean, I would've never chosen Hilary Swank to be Holly...

Yeah, you´re right. Nearly everytime when they turn a book into a film, the actors are never as you imagined the characters. But somehow the moviedirectors choose people who suit, anyhow ^^

It's difficult to make a movie based on a novel but I think they did well with P.S. - though Hilary is just not Holly for me. The very best movie based on a novel in my opinion is Twilight. Gosh how much do I love that book series and the movie... I'm curious what IYCSMN will be like in the end. Speaking of Hugh Jackman... I found some sites and they all say that he's still set to play Ivan. The movie's set to be made this year in America. I hope that's true. www.worstpreviews.com/review.php?id=145Then I found another article about Hugh Jackman's own personal movie company and there it said that he owns the right to make the movie/musical. On Wikipedia it says 2011... That'd be long. And Wiki is not really reliable. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_You_Could_See_Me_Now

He dropped out? What? Why? Where did you find those news? He can't be, he's just THE Ivan for me If you look at his IMDB page which is frequently updated you can see it's not there anymore. www.imdb.com/name/nm0413168/
